Dengue fever : impotent government

My cousine brother was admitted in hopital owing to perssistant fever and low blood platelete count, it was diagnosed as Dengue, initially I thought that it was one of those cases but back in the hospital Blood bank I saw quueue of people donating blood for getting blood platelete extraceted from it when I went to donate blood myself for my cousine.
And official figures of government are no where near panic as they maintain 5-6 cases status, where as only in this particular hospital (Shekahar nursing home) there were more then 15 people who were suffering from the dreaded disease, the blood platelete count drops sudenly with liver malfunction, faver, nasal bleeding.
Till date no fumigation is carried out in the area by the government authorities and numbers of affected is kept low officially.I wonder where this kind of governence is taking our people when they don't bother to take care of public health which is minimum they could do, all they did is they made sure that preventive measures are taken in VIP areas where ministers are residing, civil servats have become the rulers - democracy is gone for a toss.
The hospital I referred is not one of the major hospital like district hospital this one is privately run hosptal exact figures would be close to full blown epidemic.
No wonder if in near future we see that W.H.O or some other agency declare India as dengue affected country its only matter of time now.

Troubles at heathrow to Home sweet home

I reached Heathrow at time save Mohhamed for his audy despite gushy wind and rains, At airport security they have new rules which were not in affect when I arrived hence I had to get rid of some of the stuff I carried from India including some clothes, If I colud donate them to a needy there won't be any afterthought but I had to dump them in garbage bin :-(.
Yet the cabin baggage allowances came in between as the new law inforces only one cabig baggage and they have started considering laptop computers as one, so had to check-in my supposed to be cabin baggage without contents and an additional attache case was dumped too, they should enforce new laws after giving some considerable notice period that way unnecessary troubles could be avoided.

Later on met some people who had managed to take additional 10-15 kgs on board becasue the tags for cabin baggage were not checked and there was no procedure for weighing cabin baggage being taken onboard just before check-in - A lesson for future may and a loop hole they must look into.
My brother greeted me on airport at lucknow and suddenly heathrow and london were no were in active scene, the way miond functions is hilarious it was trying to be preoccupied with heathrow incident though there was no need for it, past had already passed me long before.

Considering my allergies to dog hair my family had finally managed to house break my dogs and they were no where to be seen in living room - it came as a relief with a bit of sadness as well for the poor creatures didn't understand why they were not allowed to play around the house admist us and the sadness were evident in their eyes, specially diana seemed little nervous while holding her instincts to play around as I arrived, if I could overcome this allergy it would have been great for both of us, but till the time I can't ,she will have to bear with it - i suppose, though I don't want them to be left out like this.

Thge feeling and expression here in India are totally different and more vivid, it was complete home coming if put literally, back there in UK feelings are a castaway shaows and so are expressions of love and affection -if this is the right way to express I would.
So here I am enjoying the home coming to fullest.

Inflight experiecne was good, the crew members are quite professional and virgin is doing good in maintaing the quality and sevice standards, hope BA could follow the example

Stranger on street

While smoking outside Brompton Guest House, A stranger came towards me asked for some smoke, I didn't carry the packets with me so I asked him to wait there while I went upstairs to fetch the pack.
The man was from zambia as he told me, I didn't ask his name neither did he asked me mine,I gave him the pack and match box.
He rolled one for himself and I rolled one for me, we shared a bit about weather. The man said "God bless you" and I felt as if the bliss actually poured from above, the words were so mallow and so honeslty said that they seemed coming from above.
There was distinct clarity in his eyes and as I tried to look into them I felt the vast depth behind them, it was a nice experience sharing a roll with him, He shook hands and went downroad and seemingly disappeared, A similar experience I had some 12 years ago but that time I missed the oppertunity to stop and share a word with the stranger, when i looked back after going some 15 feet he was no where , and I didn't forgive myself for not stopping for a moment.
This time I am glad I did, may be you have other openion about it but as far I am concerned stopping for a moment for someone in need is worth.

Missing India On Diwali

It just happened that I missed the date for Diwali and booked my returning ticket for the following sunday thinking I would still be able to catch diwali on monday, hence proved I am prone to errors when it comes to planning dates and travels.
Some one else should do that as a favour to me, Nice excuse for getting married LoL.

Since morning thinking of doing something worth, but no chance, there is no meditation center here,No place around where I can go and hit headon with people in Diwali mood, may be will drink my coffee and sleep. What a bore way to celeberate Diwali.
Evening is yet to come, will update later.
Happy Diwaly to myslef :-), Yes Iheard finally some one wished.

Reigate Hill, Surrey

While in surrey one must see reigate Hill, I tried to capture some pics so that I can take with me the feeling of it,but to no avail or may be this is How I felt.

Its some of the very few places where you can still find time dating itself, Don't know why I use this term but to me its like time waiting for some thing to happen before it goes any further.

Though I could hardly take a single picture which could come close to what experiace I had there, but for sake of sharing here are few shots.

This one is on the top of the hill overlooking the vast expension and I was lucky to capture a lady rider.Gives Impression of a perfect english contryside bicycle is little modern though.

I find these berries quite intreguing even though I dont intend to taste them or touch the leaves for that matter, looks can be decptive when it comes to berries. This pic was taken with with 3.5 A, 250 S, and on ISO 200 - with 10 x (apprx 500 mm).

October 2006 , Thorpe Park

This time in the UK things are a bit different and familiar both, I see the culture and values changing here quite fast, old is shedding fast and new is yet to arrive.

There are some marginal new growths but looking at their base one can deduce that this is not the future face of once all almighty society, neverthless children are same :-).
Lets see I get to tell some thing new as far as youths are concerned.
