Trapped in India

Yesterday while searching for cars on the web, I realized all I can get in 2k pounds is trash in comparison to what I can get anywhere in Europe or for that matter in Malaysia or Singapore.
That sucks big time.
Duty etc on import is fine as long as government sees an upcoming industry, except favoring tatas who are word number 1 in selling outdated technology and copying things (the safari looks).
The famous tata truck where does the engine is copied from ? if that is the way government wants us to go then fine, but we want the right to get what we want if it can't be produced here and no efforts are being made in that direction.
one very easily have a good BMW in about 10000 pounds, but if he/she want to import it there its heavy duty on it as if importing a BMW is going to somehow affect a wonderful HM industry or Esteem. If that is the cause let alone allowing Merc and Bmw assembly units its anyways worthless paying dbl the price .

Death strikes

A street cat had kept three kitten at the back of my house, wonderful little creatures, I had never liked cats before but after watching them playing around I started loving them and developed very close fondness -Morning tea with kittnes and evenings with kitten and their frog hunt.

The picture on left was taken in may last week, this one was brown male, missing since first week of june.

Another one is waiting to die while I write this and can hear her some time as the wounds form dog bites take the tole on her little frail body, the skin on left thigh has been completely eaten away and three legs are broken, yet she managed to crawl back to our place and now she is on medication for pain and antiboitics.
And today only 3 little birdies fell from the nest and died, though I tried to put one back a while ago, when I wentt back to see if its alright after an hour all three were lying on gound dead, their eyes which never opened would stay closed for ever, but why ?
Somehow its not fair, But then that is the way it is, its not my rule its nature and it works like this - hand in hand with death, every day.

Malaysia : Truely asia or more ?

Am in malaysia and must say that though they attained independence much after india, they have done much much better in terms of systems, infrastructure and general life conditions.
The government is actively coming up with strategies for improving life and countries financial strength, and as a result they have MR sanding shoulder to shoulder with US$ with a conversion rate of 3.4, against 44 of india.
The government is further trying to find new ways to create employment also, the much boasted drive of tourism is one side of it, they did some major changes in Kuala lumpur administration setup to facilitate tourism and transit related to it that involved moving some of the major offices out of kuala lumpur.

They have made a wonderful orchid garden in middle of the city which has over 100 varieties of orchids, need not say it was a great experience, I remembered visiting orchid garden in gangtok as well won't comment on that experience.

There are plenty more pictures I took there and they can be requested for reference.

Finally about the landmark in malaysia :-) the twin towers, nicely lit now a days and plenty going around, lot of activity on the shopping complex in first floor and second floor, many spanish, american tourists are seen doing shopping from the local malls,Happy asia ?

Later ......

Working family : Optima

This one is about my previous team , it was more like a organism a pulsating live being :-), I know of someone who would outrightly deny it though and who was also part of it- Deepa I am talking about you here :-) .

The team consisted of Ashish,Deepa,Nimish,Rajeev, Vijay and me. Ashsish and Vijay were known to each other from their previous jobs also so they maintained their little personal connection apart from the Optima connection.
As to how I say it was a pulsating organism , I always felt that the team had everything an organism may need, it had Ashish as the scale to weigh right and wrong, It had Vjay as the will, it had Rajeev as joy, Deepa as crtical analysis, Nimish as mind what I was doing?I am not sure though may be keeping them together ?

I will remember my Optima days for many reasons but mostly becasue of the home coming feeling when I used to reach office, meeting everyone in the morning was a joy,

waching Nimish change to more friendly person from a supposedly dictator was nice experience (Nimish don't shoot me if you see me), Nimish would always be ready to help anyone in need only if they asked, his philosophy is don't overdo it.
In his easy moods Nimsh ccould be best guy around, and he had great skills for managing everyday things he could very easily manage things which involved money, time and people (aggarwal afterall :-p).
Nimish is good the way he is, he becomes bad when he tries to follow some philosophies and he becomes holier than thou stuff in the process becasue of the perfectionist in him.I will remember him for our small pseudo fights I enjoyed them a lot.

Deepa
always had her blend of truth, like her coffee, and she would pick up a needle from hay and make sure that the needle is seen by all - not picking but she has very good observation and great ability to comprehend, and she has her own versions of lifes issues and her own philosohies of happiness (never understood simply peaceful life concept), recently she asked me why pray if everything is predestined :-), now that is tricky question if its required to be answered by mind, simple if its to be answered with truth but then who will understand the truth side of it?
Watching Deepa laugh is nice experience she has very good eyes and I love discussing with oher on various things, and it generally ends on good note.
Deepa is among few people who have the understanding of life's mysteries naturally or quest of it, she can actually rasie the question which never arise in other's mind and that is first gaurantee that they will be answered also bacche, so keep praying.

Vijay is earth's desire to touch the sky if analogy is to be used, Tall dark handsome guy on way to god, with all goodies and wines and dines with him - ladies included, even seeking is to be enjoyed and this guy makes sure he enjoys every bit of it.
In office his idea of work was complete it before time and then play ,more play and phone and girls and play again, the proof? he is on phone while we went on our last team lunch and no asking some kanya was on the other end >:-) .

Rajeev the B as we called him was source of happiness and laughter most of the time, watching him fight with a piece of code and then taking help evertime to complete it was funny, though he would show as if he had done it lol.The baby of the team and laughter machine, I will let his fantacies alone for a while :-p.

Ashish
he is a and really good person to be around as long as he is not panicking :-p,he was acting as think tank most of the time and unnecessarily complimenting me for things I had no idea about.
Ashish its about you always - not about me :-).Ashish is always about to leave the job when he panicks, though haven't left yet after three attaks :-p.
He is quality company and never looses his mind after drinking,a great person to hang out with, his ideas on LP and VC are really intertaining.
Meditation is something you are born with dude, remove the dust and its there.

Moving from Gurgaon

Technically every space affects us in some way or another, some places have strong earth vibrations, some have air, some have fire and some have water but gurgaon has strong fire vibrations with air to it.

The place will become most active city of India and also the most expensive to live in, though there would be some water problem in the near future.

The place I am putting up provides east facing balcony and I never miss the beautiful rising sun (some exceptions are never talked about :-) ), as there is no high rising construction between my balcony and the horizon -the view is magnificent. The apartment is in sector 56.

My neighbour is a south indian old fella with taste for divine, though he never listens to any thing I have to say all he does is praising my thoughts and attitude but when it comes to following he hides his tail.

He thinks I am not pure as I drink beer and eat mutton at times.I wonder god must be the unholiest of all in his mind for having created tigers and other carnivorous animals who feed in unthinkable faishion :-).

The man is wonderful has tried yoga, meditation and raja yoga and his only goal is to be able to teach me one day, He tries hard to reclaim his innocense, and in his past time explains himself the dog theory.

He is the type of person (mind) who can lead the role of satsang narrator once he has had some experience which he is not willing to go for, here he is trying to pose for me while I was trying my cell cam.

Dengue fever : impotent government

My cousine brother was admitted in hopital owing to perssistant fever and low blood platelete count, it was diagnosed as Dengue, initially I thought that it was one of those cases but back in the hospital Blood bank I saw quueue of people donating blood for getting blood platelete extraceted from it when I went to donate blood myself for my cousine.
And official figures of government are no where near panic as they maintain 5-6 cases status, where as only in this particular hospital (Shekahar nursing home) there were more then 15 people who were suffering from the dreaded disease, the blood platelete count drops sudenly with liver malfunction, faver, nasal bleeding.
Till date no fumigation is carried out in the area by the government authorities and numbers of affected is kept low officially.I wonder where this kind of governence is taking our people when they don't bother to take care of public health which is minimum they could do, all they did is they made sure that preventive measures are taken in VIP areas where ministers are residing, civil servats have become the rulers - democracy is gone for a toss.
The hospital I referred is not one of the major hospital like district hospital this one is privately run hosptal exact figures would be close to full blown epidemic.
No wonder if in near future we see that W.H.O or some other agency declare India as dengue affected country its only matter of time now.

Troubles at heathrow to Home sweet home

I reached Heathrow at time save Mohhamed for his audy despite gushy wind and rains, At airport security they have new rules which were not in affect when I arrived hence I had to get rid of some of the stuff I carried from India including some clothes, If I colud donate them to a needy there won't be any afterthought but I had to dump them in garbage bin :-(.
Yet the cabin baggage allowances came in between as the new law inforces only one cabig baggage and they have started considering laptop computers as one, so had to check-in my supposed to be cabin baggage without contents and an additional attache case was dumped too, they should enforce new laws after giving some considerable notice period that way unnecessary troubles could be avoided.

Later on met some people who had managed to take additional 10-15 kgs on board becasue the tags for cabin baggage were not checked and there was no procedure for weighing cabin baggage being taken onboard just before check-in - A lesson for future may and a loop hole they must look into.
My brother greeted me on airport at lucknow and suddenly heathrow and london were no were in active scene, the way miond functions is hilarious it was trying to be preoccupied with heathrow incident though there was no need for it, past had already passed me long before.

Considering my allergies to dog hair my family had finally managed to house break my dogs and they were no where to be seen in living room - it came as a relief with a bit of sadness as well for the poor creatures didn't understand why they were not allowed to play around the house admist us and the sadness were evident in their eyes, specially diana seemed little nervous while holding her instincts to play around as I arrived, if I could overcome this allergy it would have been great for both of us, but till the time I can't ,she will have to bear with it - i suppose, though I don't want them to be left out like this.

Thge feeling and expression here in India are totally different and more vivid, it was complete home coming if put literally, back there in UK feelings are a castaway shaows and so are expressions of love and affection -if this is the right way to express I would.
So here I am enjoying the home coming to fullest.

Inflight experiecne was good, the crew members are quite professional and virgin is doing good in maintaing the quality and sevice standards, hope BA could follow the example

Stranger on street

While smoking outside Brompton Guest House, A stranger came towards me asked for some smoke, I didn't carry the packets with me so I asked him to wait there while I went upstairs to fetch the pack.
The man was from zambia as he told me, I didn't ask his name neither did he asked me mine,I gave him the pack and match box.
He rolled one for himself and I rolled one for me, we shared a bit about weather. The man said "God bless you" and I felt as if the bliss actually poured from above, the words were so mallow and so honeslty said that they seemed coming from above.
There was distinct clarity in his eyes and as I tried to look into them I felt the vast depth behind them, it was a nice experience sharing a roll with him, He shook hands and went downroad and seemingly disappeared, A similar experience I had some 12 years ago but that time I missed the oppertunity to stop and share a word with the stranger, when i looked back after going some 15 feet he was no where , and I didn't forgive myself for not stopping for a moment.
This time I am glad I did, may be you have other openion about it but as far I am concerned stopping for a moment for someone in need is worth.

Missing India On Diwali

It just happened that I missed the date for Diwali and booked my returning ticket for the following sunday thinking I would still be able to catch diwali on monday, hence proved I am prone to errors when it comes to planning dates and travels.
Some one else should do that as a favour to me, Nice excuse for getting married LoL.

Since morning thinking of doing something worth, but no chance, there is no meditation center here,No place around where I can go and hit headon with people in Diwali mood, may be will drink my coffee and sleep. What a bore way to celeberate Diwali.
Evening is yet to come, will update later.
Happy Diwaly to myslef :-), Yes Iheard finally some one wished.

Reigate Hill, Surrey

While in surrey one must see reigate Hill, I tried to capture some pics so that I can take with me the feeling of it,but to no avail or may be this is How I felt.

Its some of the very few places where you can still find time dating itself, Don't know why I use this term but to me its like time waiting for some thing to happen before it goes any further.

Though I could hardly take a single picture which could come close to what experiace I had there, but for sake of sharing here are few shots.

This one is on the top of the hill overlooking the vast expension and I was lucky to capture a lady rider.Gives Impression of a perfect english contryside bicycle is little modern though.

I find these berries quite intreguing even though I dont intend to taste them or touch the leaves for that matter, looks can be decptive when it comes to berries. This pic was taken with with 3.5 A, 250 S, and on ISO 200 - with 10 x (apprx 500 mm).

October 2006 , Thorpe Park

This time in the UK things are a bit different and familiar both, I see the culture and values changing here quite fast, old is shedding fast and new is yet to arrive.

There are some marginal new growths but looking at their base one can deduce that this is not the future face of once all almighty society, neverthless children are same :-).
Lets see I get to tell some thing new as far as youths are concerned.
